Hello everyone! My name is Aaron, and I am your Grade 10 Representative! I ran because I believe in creating a more positive, inclusive, connected environment, where everybody student's voice can be heard and valued. I believe in a more connected grade where everybody can help each other and value each others opinions and values. As grade 10 rep, I want to people to be more connected in our grade, hold fun events and activities, and hold fundraisers.

Complete News OverHaul

I will create a special website just for the Grade 10 students. This website will act as a clearing house for the announcement of upcoming events, comments and opinions, idea generation for events, and showing monthly accomplishments such as art and fundraiser photos. The website will give an easy-to-read and accessible means for all the students to know our progress for the year. This keeps us in mind and remember our achievement.

FUNDRAISERS

Fundraisers Direction Change

Being your Grade 10 representative, my top priority is to help all the students of our grade. Whether you are in trouble, need advice, or even medical expenses, I will do my best to be of help to you. I will work towards redirecting fundraisers towards the cause of assisting students with these types of needs, giving you academic bonuses for studies or academic purposes. (Money for achievements). This way, our efforts make a positive difference in your lives.

FEEDBACKS

Change in Feedback System

I believe that each student should be heard. I want to see your experience from your view on the event or fundraisers. This way we in the government council can improve on what we do and learn from mistakes. I, as your Grade 10 rep, will make the feedback system better so that ideas and changes can make this big year better for all. Together, we can build a community where creativity and your voice is valued.

Debate/Public Speaking

I have done over two years of debating experience, during which time I created lasting friendships across British Columbia, and won awards. I've also done public speaking. I have a firm and clear voice and am able to lead and represent Grade 10 students effectively. Most recently, I was joined the UBC Spring Competition.

Video Editing/Poster Designing/Website Designing

I have experience in video editing, poster creation, and website design, and I would be glad to apply them to help our grade. The skills will be useful in creating engaging graphics, promoting events in the right manner, and establishing platforms like a Grade 10 website where all are properly informed and integrated. I am determined to allow your creativity to emerge and enable students to share their ideas and projects with ease.

Communication/Organization

I have great communication and event planning skills. I am able to speak in English and Mandarin, so I can connect with a huge range of people. My leadership experience is being involved in Intro Leadership 9 and continuing on Senior Leadership next year. I am excited to be able to assist in bringing people together and making our community a better place in general.
